Default Shipping from Japan

Does anyone know approximately how much it would cost to ship a package from Japan to California (a pair of camshafts, for example)?

I wanted to send a 2lb package from NJ to Ireland and it was $63 by UPS, $14.50 USPS (uninsured), $24.50 USPS insured.
I can't imagine Japan-US being any better unless you go surface mail, where they toss it in a container and it travels by ship.

UPS and Fedex overcharge for international service. Either slow boat or regular mail is the best choices.

Thanks everyone for the info.

Turns out that with FedEx it is about $250. Ouch!

That's all I needed to know. I'm gonna go ahead and lock this thread.
