Oh probably. I like Russell. Still, I couldn't avoid throwing in a Russell joke. I guess as long as you stay away from phones when you're near him, you're safe.

Maybe because its common to say things like that, but anyone that knows me knows that im a car guy.

One thing though is that I'm fine with life, I'd like my son to be 6 feet tall at least. It does offer an advantage, as studies have shown that tall people tend to be more successful.
make sure he eats a lot of beef. it's the growth hormones they pump into cattle that makes people so darn tall (IMO, but backed by some evidence I don't care to google at the moment).

for example, I'm 6', easily 8" taller than my dad and probably 18" taller than my mom. LOVED burgers and steaks as a kid.

Years ago my brother and I were fighting at the Long Beach Convention Center for a Martial Arts Intl. Championship. Jean Claude Van Damme was there walking around all pretend bad a$$. Black Belt magazine looked into his "titles" in Europe yeah . He is a little runt, my brother asked him if he forgot to wear his shoe lifts that day, he stopped and gave us the Van Damme . He told him to get into the ring and prove himself without his stunt double. No reponse, he left shortly after. A ton of people laughed their butts off over that.
if that is the truth, you are my hero for today.

Congratulations - you kept a celebrity from kicking your butt.

Most celebrities learned a LONG time ago to walk away from idiots that try to get their goat.

If your brother wasn't such an idiot trying to be a badass, he'd have kept his own mouth shut. Sounds to me like your brother was the idiot and Van Damme did the right thing (walked away from a loudmouth, since he had nothing to prove anyways). A conflict of egos instead of brains, apparently...

Do you (and your bro) always suggest fighting as a means to prove who is the proverbial "best man"?
nope, you missed the part about where he turned and glared at them. if you glare at a man (esp at a martial arts competition), you better be ready to knock him out. he also shouldn't have been walking around like he's the baddest guy in the room... unless he's ready to prove it.

frankly, I'll walk the middle-ground here and say Jean-Claude could've been cool... smiled and acted like it didn't bother him. or better yet, just laughed at him, and the crowd would've thought the brother was the dick.

btw guys, I gotta say, even though I'm 6', 5'6" is not "short" in my opinion.

I knew a classic napoleon complex dude:
drove a Viper
was totally shredded (thanks to healthy doses of 'roids)
was LOUD, short-tempered and abrasive (probably partially due to the 'roids)
serious tattoos on his body
literally said he was 5ft 3 and a half

as soon as you have to start counting every 1/2 inch, you got issues IMO.

I gotta say though, he had some serious smarts and ambition... that was one of the most successful assholes I've ever known. dude was FAMOUS in the network security world.

I'm 5'8" and when I was single I went out with several women that were well over 6' tall, never had any problems making the parts fit together. I also went out with my share of women that weren't any taller than me also.

So I guess I'm considered average (for whites and blacks, but certainly above average for Asians) - 5'11". I feel average-height when I go to places here, but way above average when I travel to Asia, though I've met quite a few taller Asians than I over there too.
