Just about anything by Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Robin Trower, Phil Keagy, Duane Allman with the Allman Brothers, AC/DC, "Free Bird" by Lynard Skynard. So much out there. Very few, if any today though, in my opinion.

I've often said that the 90s was the first decade where I disliked just about everything out there. I don't believe it is a generational thing because I like all kinds of music dating way back to the 20s (not that I'm that old).

Eric Clapton - 'nuff said. Damn near anything he plays is genius.

Hard to beat Joe Satriani.
Extremely talented, original, and all instrumental.
His latest ( "Engines of Creation") album rocks!

Get away from the mainstream:

Guy Van Duser........."American Finger Style Guitar"
Jorma Kaukonen......anything solo or with his band Hot Tuna
Etta Baker................"One Dime Blues" this woman is fantastic this album was recorded when she was 77 in 1990 she's still around and plays.
Bowling Green John Cephas......."Dog Days of August" with his partner Harmonica Phil Wiggins.
Archie Edwards..............."Blues 'N Bones
Leo Kottke......................anything
Danny Cox......................"Live at the Family Dog" Only available on LP (used) out of print.
Django Reinhart..............anything...He played with a deformed hand, hence the unusual style.

This is just a small list I could come up with lots more, just looking through my cd and record collection.
