Well now that explains everything. I'm not fluent in good 'ol boy. That has got to be the problem.
I will say this: If Jimmy Spencer came up to me and said "you son of a bitch - you people bombed Pearl Harbor" I wouldn't think it was a good 'ol boys way of saying "Howdy!"
wicky - I think you need to post your thoughts in good 'ol boy so that you might be better understood.

when does "son of a bitch" not mean "son of a bitch" ?
when dbjb's interpretation says so I guess

Now, before we get all excited, everyone step away from the keyboard for the next few minutes. Don't post in here, just think about what you want to post. Develop a constructive critique of bigotry and/or racism. I don't wanna see people ganging up on dbjb just because he is the only one even pretending to take Spencer's side in this.
At 2:30pm Pacific feel free to start posting again.
I think we all just need a time out.
PeaceLoveandS2k -
My wife and I loved visting K-L. Even the airport is cool with that jungle right in the middle of it. Fresh lychee in that open market - the seafood and the boat ride to Crab Island. The twin towers... the people were really friendly... monkeys - caves - temples - mosques... it was really an outstanding experience.
Can't wait to go back (when things calm down a bit over there... )
I am sorry about your family's suffering - no doubt that the Japanese committed some real atrocities over time.
I'm glad that doesn't make you a hater of all Japanese people.
