I fully respect you 8D, but this isnt in retaliation to me getting a ticket. I have never had one ,actually, well I was written one a time or two but both were thrown out in court.
I wasn't speaking to you in particular, princess.

They're debating this same thing in Orlando. The camera's are giving people tickets for running red lights while making right turns. If they dont stop before making a right turn for 3 seconds or more, they gave them a ticket. The city of Orlando said it was cutting accidents while a group showed that accidents and fatalities had actually increased since the camera's were placed. I'm with Kyushin on this one, get rid of that shit.

San Jose, Calif., is being sued over how it ticketed speeding drivers. It used vans to snap photos of license plates and drivers — with city engineers, not police, writing the tickets. That's illegal, but the city says since it didn't know, it shouldn't have to pay back the $5 million it collected.

If its a close call, (going through RIGHT as it turned red) and you get pulled over, just dont admit that you ran the red light, this is how my experience went

ran through red light

"sir do you know why I pulled you over?" (this is one of their tricks to make you unknowingly admit guilt, and justify giving you a ticket)
"Because I ran through that YELLOW light?"
*cop laughs* "I dont know about that..."

*cop comes back*
"im gonna give you a warning on this one, just make sure to pay attention and try not to cut it close, you dont want to get t-boned in a small car like this"

Only legit warning ive ever recieved (that wasnt a harassment pullover)

If its not close, and you blatantly run through a blatant red light.. then your an idiot. Just stop and wait the extra 30 seconds

This may not work with speeding because they have radar/video evidence proving your guilt, but atleast with close call red lights, its so opinionated that if you dont admit guilt, it would probably be very easy to fight, as the cop camera wont be able to distinguish if you beat it or not, especially if its from a bad angle. And by law (last i heard in TX atleast) is if your front wheels go over the line when the light is yellow, your legal.

Cameras are easy too, ive never done it, but ive heard of many people saying "it wasnt me driving the car" and getting the ticket thrown out.

I wonder how many times they will fix a camera that is always breaking or getting knocked down.

Follow the money...Kyushin brought up a good point when referencing camera usage in NC...it's all about bringing in increased revenues - and not enforcing the traffic laws.
