JonBoy,

I received a Bachelor's of Computer Engineering and Bachelor's of Physics from Virginia Tech. I double-majored. I work as an electrical engineer. I am also currently pursuing a Master's of Astronomy, part-time, from Berkeley. I still have a ways to go.

Oh, and I'm just a private pilot. Haven't touched a Boeing yet.

JonBoy,

I wouldn't go to a university where I could only choose from a strict set of classes. Whenever I encounter something I don't understand, it just prompts me to learn it -- and that means I spent a lot of my undergraduate career studying random things -- observational astrophysics, biomedical engineering, physical geology, poetry, etc.

And I do indeed enjoy school -- when I'm not taking a class, I tend to read textbooks for leisure. My beside reading table might scare most of you away!

I have certainly not selected electrical engineering as my final career, either -- I feel I'm not the type to settle down in one type of work. I've already made the decision that my next job will be something involving spaceflight, space exploration, or astronomy. I can't imagine those topics getting boring anytime soon -- but we'll just have to see where the wind takes me.

The point I made back when we were in single digit page numbers was that good and bad are the inventions of man as is god.

Eavesdropping, again. As you're interested in astronomy you might want to strike up a conversation with The Raptor (George). I believe he's only an amateur astronomer, but you might find interesting topics of discussion.

George and I probably do have a hell of a lot in common!
