Gary, I believe Marx's viewpoint is a valid one. The religion/god debate is philosophical in nature, and neither side can be factually proven to be correct. I don't necessarily agree with Marx, but I do think his ideas are as valid as any other philosopher's.

 

Many of you on this thread are still very young ... that is good, I was there once and very full of myself.

For those of you who read, I have a suggested book and for those of you who don't read -- it's available on audio tape cassette: "Gifted Hands - The Ben Carson Story" - Carson was young and full of himself at one point in his life - he turned to God and was strengthened to the point that he has become a world famous neurosurgeon ... and he gives full credit to his faith in God. He has saved many young lives and gives full credit to his faith in God. This is a very smart man.

It's an easy read.

I will not criticize those of you who have no faith ... I understand.
But for your own sake don't allow the current phenomena of Godlessness in this country to turn you against the belief in God.

The USSR ran amok with this and it killed their country and thousands of their citizens. We need to be cautious before heading down the path of atheism.
