well dave... Theyre always building there so they need someone to make the drawings to build from. Thats what I do. If its new construction, existing that needs repair or even doing field testing.
If it was me personally, I wouldn't budge from where you are until you have a guaranteed job there. I am a risky person, but that's not a risk I'd take. Just my .03

8k isn't going to last long at all.

I wouldn't move away until you have a job. Just get a job there and go, you don't have to keep the job your whole life. If your bills are 1k a month, you could get some stupid job in the casino to pay the bills until you get into something you want.

yea i think your right francesco.... It seems that the more I think about all the little things the more im gonna need. It just seems so overwhelming. Im starting from $0...actually $100.

I just opened a new bank acct and now 50% of my check will go in for the "vegas fund" and 50% for bills and what not.

at this rate...itll take me 5 months to get the $8000 I need as a bare minimum. 8 months for and even $10k

Only time will tell, we shall see what happens.

Wow 3 cents? Someone thinks pretty highly of their own opinion

When I moved out of my folks place I blew through about $25k in various costs, including fun and entertainment costs of getting to know my new surroundings and meeting people. My company paid for my relo, I took a lot of stuff from my folks, but I also still spent thousands on bedroom furniture, dining room stuff, some living room things, and many other misc items. Also, stocking a kitchen for the first time with the staples and things that you just always have around like condiments, herbs and spices, and that sort of stuff can get you in the hundreds of dollars pretty quickly.

If I were to do it again (move out for the first time) I would not do it without around $12-15k and be responsible with that money.
