Thoughts on AT&T cell service & price plans?
Anyone here have thoughts on AT&T cell service? How is the quality of service? What about price plans, are they competitive with the others? I'm really getting sick of Verizon's customer service (as in lack thereof). I probably won't get an iPhone or Blackberry but some other sort of smart phone.
AT&T is still not quite as good as Verizon for coverage (in my area) or customer service, lol. But not so bad that I regret switching for my iPhone. Also the family plan I run has roll-over minutes that Verizon didn't offer.

poor quality of service. since cingular became AT&T theres been more dropped calls. the up side to att is a lot of people have it, so you get a lot of free mobile to mobile calls.
I have AT&T. I neither like or hate them. Then again, I don't like any cell phone service provider, for they're all expensive as hell. As for reception, it just depends on where you live. It's not that great inside my house, but excellent outside. The only service providers I'd even consider are AT&T and T-Mobile, for their phones are GSM and I can take them to everywhere in the world (quad-band) and use them. CDMA phones suck! All providers should just have GSM.
Pros of GSM phones: compatible world-wide (tri or quad-band); easy to transfer phones by just switching the SIM card; interchangeable once unlocked; easy to transfer phone number list by just transferring the SIM; etc. CDMA phones are a pain in the butt in almost all regards.
