Ticket 75 In A 60
The easiest would be to take the break the guy gave you and pay the fine. My only speeding ticket was for 55 (I was going 65 though) in a 35 (in an industrial area, not residential). It was around $125.
The biggest reason to challenge it is for insurance purposes. If you have a good record, one infraction won't make a difference. I went to traffic school, then discovered I could have had 3 more infractions within two years before it affected my rates.
I was given this little tip from a police officer. You could go to court to challenge and hope the officer doesn't show. If he doesn't, you win no contest. If he does, you can just accept to pay the fine. You just have to determine if taking this chance is worth your time.
Again, easiest is to just pay. It will come off your record in 2 years anyway (I believe). And, you can always go to traffice school to keep the next one off.
btw, Happy birthday!

The first thing i always do is call the clerks office. All you do is ask if there is a way to plead it down over the phone and most of the time for only 15 over, they will. i had one where they said to just write a letter and send $50 and it would be dropped. another allowed me to take drivers ed ($25 in NC) and the ticket was completely eliminated after paying court costs. that is by far the easiest and cheapest way to fight a ticket. after that, you can take the lawyer route, he could get you improper equipment which is no insurance points, or he could just plead it down to 9 over. depending on what you want to do, the class is great, deferment is another option, just dont get another ticket. i would suggest the class to get it off your record, then later if necessary you can use your deferral to stay clean. someone correct me if im wrong, but that seems like the logical progression.
the main thing is to keep points off of your insurance, you will pay for that for 5 years

Wow! Two tickets in a week? Sucks to be you.
Those bastards got me a few weeks ago with the airplane. I was approaching a work zone and was about a mile before the work zone. When the cop handed me the ticket, he marked that I was speeding in a construction zone which means that I can not get probation and the fine is doubled! Needless to say, I am fighting this ticket!
