These days the best seats cost too much anyways, certainly more than I think they are worth so let the idiots who will pay, pay.

Maybe this will have no impact on ticket sales, but my bet is that now not only will the price of the GOOD seats increase further, but the price of the BAD seats will also creep up as people try to outbid each other for the tickets.
I don't see this as translating to the venues selling out and generating more revenue, but rather pricing the masses out of the game and leaving revenues higher for the venue, but attendance lower. This is bad for marketing if your intent is to increase market share...
