Tiger Woods wins again in sudden death
lol
Well we are going to have to agree to disagree on many points...partly because you refuse to read what I say in the proper order. eg: from the first I said great players play the courses they do best on and never once criticized Tiger for doing so. And...most players care squat about the Vardon trophy. I believe for the simple reason you can't bank it. It has no value.
I do agree that the hybrids are much more forgiving. I play with the new Idea set...lol...hey I am old!
Hey here is one for you!
A 46 year old man won the Masters for the 6th time on a hip joint that was so bad he couldn't shift his weight to his left side!

I was talking to a guy at church today - a really avid golfer, mid-50s in age - and he agreed with you. He said that given equal equipment, he'd take Nicklaus just about every time over Tiger. He said his power and consistency would overcome Tiger's short game in the long run, with both of them putting roughly equal on any given day. Tiger's a heck of a putter, though, so I'm not sure about that part being exactly realistic.
So, take comfort in the fact that you're not the only doofus around.

Well we are not alone as, in my experience, just about any decent golfer I know who watched Jack play, year in year out, feels Jack would prevail.
There was an interesting stat brought up during the open that I don't know if you caught, so I will share.
Let's forget Jacks record of seconds in majors (a silly number like 30 something plus) and take a look at his top 10's. Miller during the open stated that for Tiger to have as many TOP 10's in the majors as Jack he would have to finish in the top 10 for the next 11 years!
Now I know we can talk all day as to who would prevail head to head and it will get us no where but just imagine how fricking awesome it would have been to see them head to head down the stretch. Of course if Tiger wasn't in the lead after 54 holes we already know he would lose!
Whereas Jack was a factor in the lead and maybe even more so when he wasn't.
Got to love those smiley faces eh!
