Last comment and that is go out and buy or borrow the Neil Sperry gardening book. He only writes about what will and will not grow and do well in Texas. In doing research I have not gone wrong with his advice.

Watch out for female ginkgo's. there fruit smells like poop when it falls. something about prehistoric flies being attracted to it for pollination.
