Default U Michigan ann arbor or USC?

a really good friend of mine got into both U of Michigan Ann Arbor med school AND USC med in LA, and trying to decide which one to attend. He was offered a 10k/year scholarship at U Mich.

if you were in his shoes, which school would you pick and why? some considerations that come to my mind..

UMICH= Ranked #7 in the nation
awesome hospital, top facilities
college town feel
COLD!!!!

USC=
county hospital is somewhat crummy
weather
it's LA .. lol

This is a no brainer. Unless he is loaded and weather is more important than quality of education, debt, etc., then he should choose Michigan.

You go to the best school possible, and I assume Michigan and USC would be similar in costs so a better school and less costs in Michigan, yeah that's the choice.

Tell him to go to Ann Arbor. It's a way better school. Theres also a very hot girl that I know who goes there. Maybe I'll give him her number to go check her out. She's also in med school.

From what I understand, UofM doesn't hand out too many scholarships, so I would agree with everyone else and say this is INDEED a no-brainer. This coming from a Michigan State grad as well.

I'm sure the girls at USC would be more plentiful and pleasing to the eyes, but he won't be too far from MSU where they are in great abundance as well!

Michigan

Both of my roommates went to other med schools because they couldn't get into Michigan. We are UofM grads.
I would take Ann Arbor over LA any day. Except for the women.

As of 9:30 AM on March 15th.

Los Angeles: 75 degrees and Sunny
Ann Arbor : 37 degrees and snow showers

As for the med schools you have to be more specific on what program you are interested in. Each school will have its strengths. If you are really interested in one field of medicine then you want to go to the school that is strong in that. Who cares how badass the pediatrics program is if you are interested in something else?
