Unlikely allies?

What's amazing is it goes farther than that. Cuba has said if we "needed it's airspace" we could use it. Now I can't quite see why we would need it, but it's an incredible statement nonetheless.

I think that the one positive thing to come from this abhorrent episode is the allying of former enemies against the common foe that is terrorism. To hear that China, Russia, and particularly Pakistan are horrified by these actions, and that many countries are offering support sends a signal that actions of this nature will not be tolerated reagrdless of previous grievances.

When discussing the realtions between countries words like "ally" and "enemy" are for children.
Countries have shared interests and conflicting interest, they coalesce around shared interest and conflict over conflicting interest.

Nothing is ever good-guy vs. bad-guy, good vs. evil except in movies. Its not black and white.
If someone thinks it is, then they've provided all the analysis they're clearly capable of, and should go back out in the yard and play. Perhaps even put that garbage pail on their head and spin around then run into the wall a few times...
I've seen kids do that.
