My tracking on a FED EX package stopped during the Christmas rush. They ahem "LOST" *cough cough* an Xbox that was being shipped.

I worked at a UPS site locally and you should see the security they have in place to make sure the employees don't rip off packages but it still happens. For the most part it was the loaders and unloaders, not the drivers. UPS drivers get about $70k on average so they don't generally rip things off for risk of losing their job.
