My personal opinion, please don't flame me for this one, but when I said it has an interesting "twist" I meant I don't really think it quite happened that way it's described. Just IMHO. Animal cruely is bad. Putting 120k reward is bad too. But a guy walking up to her car, opening the door, grabbing a dog and throwing it in front of a car then driving off? That's just bizzare. I have heard worse tho ... a guy taking a gun out of his glove-box and shooting the guy who ran into the back of him.

*sigh* Make it what you will but please don't start personal attacks.

I have heard that a lot of killers start out by abusing and killing animals. This is probably not the case with this guy. He sounds like your normal everyday hot head/bully. I wonder what he would have done had the dog been a Rotwieller, Doberman or a German Shepard, instead of a 2 pound white fluffy dog. Or better yet, the barrel of a gun. This guy will probably be fined. But rest assured he will continue to have a close relationship with the courts if he does not change.

I was behind an older man driving down a 6 lane street (3 each way) here in CA several years ago. There's this maybe 27yo guy jaywalking across the street, and the old man sees him at the last minute, slams on the brakes, and just barely stops before hitting the guy. The guy is super pissed, goes over to the door, reaches in and comes out with the old man's wallet! It must have been in his breast pocket. Anyway, the guy shouts another insult or two, and runs off.

People do strange things. Tell me that's not bizarre...

Where do you draw the line between an animal that can die without anyone noticing (btw my apologies to the families of the bugs I killed against my front bumper last weekend), and an other animal whose death is a giant drama, nearly equivalent to a human loss?
One of the arguments used by the lady's defence is the fact that she loved her dog and misses it... WTF?!!!
The guy should just apologize, maybe get a fine, and anyway the lady already has another dog, proof that it's just a replacable 'toy' for her.
Again, this is ridiculous.
People are only animals too. This whole "Sanctity of human life" feeling people have is such crap. People are just animals too. The meanest, nastiest, murdering ,dirty backstabbing of all animals. When it suits someones purpose they will kill other people without a thought. Even in the name of "supposed" good things (from the killers view anyway). See: Crusades, Spanish Inquistion. the Holocaust, etc...

I'd pull the switch on every murdering scumbag on death row in the country before I would throw someones dog into traffic.

If someones child is murdered and they have another kid is that proof that it was a replaceable 'toy' for them?

This guy had a history of killing other dogs. At least, I heard he was suspected for killing a dog in Puerto Rico or something.
