Default Wall of Plastic - more pictures. :D

My neighbor thinks he needs a 6' plastic wall fence "for privacy" (people could just look out their 2nd story windows right over his wall of plastic). My neighborhood convenants say if you want a fence a 42" picket fence is all that is allowed. Our township says 6' plastic is just fine.

I talked to the neighbor and told him that I didn't want to look at a wall of plastic. He basically has said to f' off and that he was going to build one because 3 other people have them in the neighborhood (168 total houses).....

I have lived in my house 5 years longer than he has lived in his. He knows the rules the same as I know the rules.

One other neighbor doesn't want the fence and one doesn't care..... the president of the neighborhood told him he probably shouldn't build it, but he could gamble like the other 3 people.....

Do I sue him and make him rip it down if I win..... or do I just look at the wall of plastic and live with it???

Dude, let it go, it's a fence. 42 or 72 who gives a shite, your still going to be looking at plastic which I might add is better than looking at rotting wood. However he better put the "good" side toward you. If he didn't then i would beat him down. If you really want to make a stink when the fence guy comes tell THE FENCE GUY (even call the fence dudes office) that if he doesn't have a permit from the town and the neighborhood he'll personally get sued. That'll make the dude run the other way. I personally think it a little petty to bitch about a fence but to each his own.

Wouldn't township regulations trump neighborhood "covenants"?

the court process is expensive.

i don't really know..... but....I hate when someone "gets over on me" (motha fu-cka)...... we used to get along. I told him to build a "neighborhood compliant" fence which would be plenty sufficient for his little fat dog........

I am not big on doing shit like fighting stuff but this pisses me off.... if I moved in after him that would be one thing.... Maybe I will go buy a hanfull of 1966 rusted out corvairs and park them right in front of his house..... nothing he can do about it.... sort of like this stupid fence.

Just let him build the fence and then write obscenities at him on your side of it.

that is the other issue.... the covenants have not be enforced.

they say....no sheds, no above ground pools and fences of 42" or less.

I would guess there are 40 sheds, at least 2 above ground pools and at least 3 big plastic fences and probably another 7 wood fences that are taller than 42".....

Apparently if I were to win, my neighbor would be responsible for my legal fees but i am not sure I want to go through with all of this. I should just dump salt all over his front yard and watch it die....ahahha...

Just plant a line of trees on your side of the fence. Can you get evergreens?
