Look at the reaction from the other man. Too fast of a motion from him, this video was sped up. Not to say this guy isn't fast, but I'd prefer to see someone actually timing it or a time stamp on the video. However during bruce lees interview for green hornet his kicks were much faster than this guys but then again that was an older video made at probably at a variable speed.

Thats Gomi from Japan laying the beatdown...he KO'd Ralph Gracie from Brazil 6 seconds into the bout, under Mixed Martial Arts rules...to which Bruce is probably one of the pioneers of in a way. As he always said, use what works...don't confine yourself to any one style.

exceltoexcel: I saw the greenhornet footage, the screen test...and bruce's kicking speed was incredible. It also looked very genuine, like it was shot in realtime.

his lats were other-worldly.

in due time, there is bound to be someone "better" than Bruce Lee, most likely he will come from China.

But, for sure, Bruce Lee is hard to surpass. He is still the man.

I'm sure in due time there is bound to be someone that surpasses his overall skill level. But to be 'better' than him, you'd have to surpass him mentally too...and thats damn near impossible in my opinion. He was so far ahead of his time, a real innovator...and he has inspired hundreds of millions of people worldwide, including todays (and past) martial arts moviestars, and kickboxing/karate/boxing world champions.

It's a hard concept to think of, someone surpassing The One, but it's only difficult because we've spent so many years with him. In his time he was unquestionably the greatest, but the history we have with him now, it's simply overwhelming and impossible to compare.

I have no doubt that one day there will be a man that could have stood in front of Bruce Lee and came out the victor at the end of a fight, he may already exist, or may have existed in the past. Even so, no one will ever do for Martial Arts what Bruce did, he will always own that place in history.

Some roads are destroyed as soon as they are made.
