Trash can with a lid, and a can of krylon.

In my case the wasp nest was on the second story and therefore required a ladder. Wasp killer doesn't work fast enough to kill the buggers before getting stung on the way down from the ladder. And the house painters needed the nests removed before painting (hence the use of krylon was okay for use). My brother placed the trash can below the nest, I climbed the ladder (scared shytless) and waited until they were all at the nest (mornings, or late evening when they are less active) and sprayed and prayed. Worked like a charm, the nest got heavy with the paint and the non_flying wasps and they all fell into the trash can with my brother closing it once it landed in there. Worked like a charm, grounded the wasps with paint on their wings. Days later I found a blue (we used a blue krylon) wasp walking by.

Whatever you choose. GoodLuck!!

I want to fire bomb them, but really the safest thing is the Raid or Hot Shot long distance sprayers specifically for nests.

But I bet using a can of hair spray and a lighter would be soo fun!

protection:
get a disposable painters outfit from home depot. attention to detail because they automatically seek edges and discontinuity between things. tape the edge between sleeve and glove.

you got to get rid of this republican pestilence, serious its a health risk. ouch

good luck.
