Watches
I didn't see it mentioned, but what about fossil watches? I like some of the dress watches they have. Not baller, but a daily watch that looks good is what I'm after. I don't think I could spend more than $150 on an everyday watch.
Anybody know anything on IWC watches??
I'm looking at IWC Classic Pilot's Automatic Chronograph and I know they are a reputable brand but I don't know anyone who owns one.
Do they keep time well? Are they problematic at all?
I ask because my buddy has a Breitling and it tends not to keep time very well.. not nearly as well his rolex..

depending on how snobbish the crowd is going to be but for a daily I can't spend more than 150. I always seem to beat up my watches so I would hate to damage something 500+. I like a bunch of fossil watches and many of Tissot's offerings if I wanted a good watch for an occasion.
Usually ones at $500+ are hard to damage.
most come with sapphire crystal pieces which are basically indestructible as long as you don't bang it with a hammer.
Also, stainless steel will eventually scratch from daily use, but the best part is once you can get it cleaned and polished it will be like new again.
I mean sure its possible to destroy it, but from normal day wear... you will be fine.

I'm surprised no one mentioned Invictas. I know they tend to do the lookalike Rolex thing, but they are really good watches for the money. I have a few that are specific to diving...sapphire crystal, heavy case, water proof, automatic movement, and cost right around $100. I've tested them in actual diving conditions and know that they work.
It's hard to find a watch within that price range that offers a value like that even with a Japanese movement. They also look really nice...I get comments on mine all the time. They are one of the best DD watches to have - uber durable, looks good, and functional.
I've held off on buying a Rolex since so many people seem to have them...fake or real. I'd like to get one at some point...I have my eyes on the 25th Ann Submariner.
