I wear a 150 dollar casio pathfinder.

Are yous guys into watches?
and that's about $50 more than what I usually pay for a watch.

just got a citizen EcoDrive from chronoshark for $103.xx plus shipping. solar powered, backup battery, perpetual calendar, awesome watch.

i love watches, but just don't see why i would pay over $100 for a nice one.

In one sense watches are redundant. Most carry a cell phone and that gives you the time. I have a bunch of Rolex's . A Day-Date, Steel Gold Sub, SS Daytona, I have two sons and when they were born I bought one a SS Sub and the other one a EXP II which I will give them they turn 13.

I also fly private so I use a Breitling Emergency in case I crash somewhere.

Mostly they sit in a shoe box in one of my gun safes. The cool thing is I can sell them for more than I paid for them. In the Daytona's case since it's a Zenith movement and not made anymore I can sell it for twice what I paid for it.

Another cool thing is that the nicer one's give you some "butt kissing" in nicer places, think of it as a visual Centurion Card nothing more

But the wife never understands why I always ask her for the time with all the watches just sitting there

Cool thing about being retired you don't give a shlt what time it is, I'll get there when I get there

Ain't that the truth! My boss and I were in Vegas last year and I glance down and he's wearing a gold Rolex with a ton of diamonds on it. I had never seen him wear this watch before as he wears a dress-down Tag at work. The dealers/pit bosses/concierge, etc. were all kissing his butt bigtime.

I have an Omega Seamaster:

The bracelet has been broken for several months. I'm too cheap a bastard to send it in for a several hundred dollar new bracelet. I have a jeweler buddy I need to take it to and see if he can create a few new pins to fix it.

Honestly, I'd be perfectly fine with a Seiko and wish I hadn't bought the Omega about 9 years ago when I first got out of school.

I thought Tiger was sponsored by Tag?

Maybe they decided to drop him after the debacle, although I heard all his sponsors were staying on board.

Movado makes a lot of different watches.
I forget which specifically, but most watches like tommy hilfiger, guess, and the other name brand watches.

*edit:
Currently, Movado watches utilize both quartz and automatic movements in their timepieces. The Movado Group, Inc. also markets other watch brands: Concord, Ebel, ESQ Swiss, Coach Watches, Hugo Boss Watches, Tommy Hilfiger, Juicy Couture, Lacoste Watches and RALCO.*

Fossil also is attached with:
Fossil, Relic, Abacus, Burberry, Emporio Armani, Michele Watch and Zodiac Watch.

If its my money (and my preferences), for about the same price, I would rather go with ... (more technology and functionality)

(Citizen ECo Drive, 1/1000 sec chrono, LCD light up)
http://www.amazon.com/Citizen-Eco-Drive-Pr...=pd_sbs_watch_1

(Citizen Eco Drive, 1/5 sec step motor for chronograph, mechanical chronograph actuation, complex movement(over 260 parts i think))
http://www.amazon.com/Citizen-Eco-Drive-Ca...pd_sbs_watch_11

(Seiko Kinetic Chronograph)

Your father's very lucky. That watch probably retails above $300,000 (USD).
