We Remember @S2ki
Hey all,
As you are all aware, today is the 5th anniversary of 9/11.
What were you all doing when you heard the news and how did it make you feel?
I personally was on my way to work when I received a phone call that a plane had hit Tower I. When I heard this I was like
? Then when I arrived at work, I heard that a second plane had hit Tower II and I was like
!
On this day especially, we should remember all of those who died on September 11,2001 and also recognize that our lives here are short and precious... We must remember to treat everyone with courtesy and respect because in an instant everything can change.

I remember that day vividly. I just finished playing Counter-strike in the wee hours of the morning while flipping through TV channels on my computer. I stopped on CNN with my jaw dropping to the floor.
i was at work, friend came by and we looked at the grizzly images, to this day i am unable to comprehend the destruction. it would have been good if we went in a more positive direction past that date.
I woke up late for class due to a late night out, and turned on the TV to see what the early numbers from Wall Street were. They were reporting from the exchange, and I saw the 2nd plane hit. I didn't leave the house that day, and just watched the news for almost 10 hours straight.

I was at UVM to see my girlfriend at the time. I just happened to flip the tv on that morning and they were just reporting the first plane hitting, and unfortunatly I got to see the second one hit live
. I ended up driving back down to the Boston area listening to the story on the radio the entire time, trying to make calls to people I know in NY, none of which I could reach. I attempted to go to work later that evening but they sent most people home, myself included. I ended up watching the news for about 2 straight days...

I remember the morning being very cold, so i ran into the computer lab to warm up. The teacher didnt even look back as i entered the room with his eyes locked onto the television in the opposite corner. I glanced over at the television, expecting the usual morning news but saw the red letters "break news!" and the images of the buildings engulfed in flames, i didn't look away again. Every classroom tuned to the same channel; you could hear the broadcast from every hallway.
i woke up just as the first plane was flying into the WTC....turned on the TV as they were showing the footage...then had to go over to my gf's house bcs we both had close friends in NYC and couldnt get in touch with anyone of course...just sat around watching tv all day...
