Either life originated from something alien or we came to be due to "spontaneous generation." Either way, assuming time and space are infinite, it's trivial to prove we aren't the first time it happened.

But I would expect that the appearance of UFOs as reported in this type of thing is really a sighting of someone testing a top secret project such as a military funded technology demonstrator run by one of the usual suspects, ie Lockheed or Northrop.
My boss worked at Lockheed for a few years and told me they had at one point been testing a flying, rotating disc. He described it as just like a Mars Attacks style saucer. Ive got no idea if that is true, and I don't really care. The basic premise--that we are seeing our own projects, not alien aircraft--seems logical to me.
So I don't think we're alone, but I find it hard to believe aliens are both sneaking around and getting caught. I think it's much more likely that we're the ones sneaking around and catching one another.
I have to believe there is other life out there but I'm not sure we have been contacted.
