Yeah, for federal crimes there is not a lot of time off for good behavior. He will do close to three years.

And they can not let him off easy because the government absolutely needs big income people to pay on time and not make the IRS have to pursue in court to collect. Otherwise every celeb, rap star and athlete would do the same thing.

Sometimes people are made an example of becuase the IRS need to do it to get compliance among the masses. In this case, Snnipes will be the example.

IMO he is getting off to easy, he could have been filthy rich AND paid his taxes but he thought he was too important to do so. I shed not a tear.

Yup. Don't mess with the IRS. White, black, brown, rainbow....you don't pay the government...the government will come after you full force. This is not a racial thing.
