If you need to ask, then you shouldn't get married.

In today's society, where marriage often has nothing to do with the quality of the relationship, I think the practical aspects are important to understand.

this is interesting because if she is still wanting to get married, she might treat you better than after she gets what she wants. it's not an insult to women, but rather how all humans operate.

is it just stereotyping or is it somewhat true that people, when they get more comfortable especially after marriage, then there will be all sorts of uninhibited negative comments/exchanges? that was a poorly constructed sentence. bottomline, do things tend to go downhill after marriage?

If you find the right person, the benefits are endless. Quality women are hard to find. If you marry just anyone, the headaches are endless.

I'd say nookie on demand and double income though if you are looking for fringe benefits. My fiance does not cook (much) but she cleans more than I do. I like to cook anyway.

Oh, and if you think your closets are too empty, you will have plenty of crap to fill them with. Like 80 pair of $200 shoes. Thats about $16,000 on SHOES. Its amazing how big of a waste that is. You could buy like.....40 Xbox 360's with that money!!!!!!!!!! Sorry, ranting.

In my opinion, you should only get married when you are ready to have children. There is no point to get married otherwise.

Pros:
1.) She will stop bugging you about getting married
2.) Bachelor party
3.) If her family has money you have a less chance of getting screwed if it ends up in divorce.
4.) Guaranteed regular sex (usually doesnt happen though)
5.) Cleaner house
6.) Dont have to wear a condom and not be worried after.

Cons:
1.) Can't fuk other women (unless you have no conscience)
2.) No guys night out
3.) No weekend trips to Vegas girlfriend free for gambling, strip clubs and hooking up with local chicks.
4.) Complaints about constant sports watching

IMO, marriage is a bit antiquainted.

Ask the SO if she's willing to a sign a pre-nup, and see what happens. Then, decide for yourself. . .

And here's a tip. There is no tax advantage. It is strictly a negative hit. Never heard of the "marriage penalty?" Oh yeah, I'm married too.
