I don't do the neighbor thing because for the most part people annoy the living shlt out of me. Leave me and my family alone and we will do the same to you. I don't call 911 since I'm not French. I or my chums will address any issues. Seems like you are way overdue for some neighborly face to face meeting. Plenty of methods to solve your dilemma, Google is your friend

In the 13 years my wife and I have lived in our home we have never exchanged more than a wave or a quick hi with any of our neighbors. They all know I'm the gun nut with the scary looking visitors and they all go out of their way to not annoy me. If I have to knock on a neighbors door chances are it will not end well. But in my part of the country the homes are managed by associations that keep uniformity. Lawsuits for non-compliance are frequent.

Google dude, plenty of really cool ways to take it up a level
