Its all relative on what you define as "expensive". If you got the money to get a 20,000 watch without breaking a sweat, then more power to you.

I was going to buy a Blue faced two-tone Submariner, but swtiched to the Seamaster Pro for a couple of reasons:
1. The Bling factor isn't as high - in my line of work you don't want to be too showy
2. I just think it is gorgeous - the wave face is awesome
3. I am constantly in the ocean - this watch was specifically made for the ocean - the Subby is not as much an ocean watch as it used to be
4. Save yourself some money
and the most important reason.....
5. James Bond traded in his Submariner for a Seamaster - nuff said
