Probably the new 8800. Can't be used in the U.S. because GSM uses 900/1800 MHz bands in Asia and Europe while it uses the 850 and 1900 MHz bands in the U.S.
Some phones do all 4, some only 2.

It is coming to the US by the end of this year.
You are right, and only a grand -- what a bargain.

i think the phone he uses is a nokia 8910i
you can get them unlocked and depending on which carrier you use check the mhz frequency they are using and hopefully it'll match the phones frequency.
nice fone except no color screen, no camera, and its outdated.

Its such a simple, easy no-frills phone. Some people want a hardcore no creature comfort sports car (S2000, elise, viper), I want a cell phone
I got my 8800 for $550 w/ contract. Anyone in L.A. can do the same if they're willing to open a T-Mobile account.
It's the 8910i's replacement, in that it's a stylish, no frills phone.
If you're on Cingular, you'll want the 8801 instead.

I'll guess I'll just wait to see what other phones are on the horizon...I like what it does (a good looking, yet simple phone), but theyre soo...."shiny"....thanks for the link, though!
