What "overpriced" items do you buy and...
I've been lucky enough to say that a lot of the "overpriced" stuff I've bought has increased in value.
1. My vintage watches ('68 Seamaster, '70 Rolex)
2. '94 Cabs, '97 Cabs, '97 Ports, '00 Ports
3. My Condo (that's kinda dicey, but I'll still say I've made ~$17K per year)
4. My CDs and Vinyl have either mostly held their value, or at least mitigated the duds (I have some RCA Red Dogs and first-print Mercury Living Stereo worth $$$)

Lets see for me it was in car parts over the years
15k into my 12 sec neon which I was going to hit 11's with but spun a bearing and said screw it.
I'm up to 6k on my S not counting the future SC which I picked up 2 years ago which is about to be paid off by this summer.
6k into my second car (during my ricer years). What a waste.
Picked up the LG tv fridge that you see in best buy. Needed a new fridge and got it for a good deal. Plus say what what you will but watching "save by the bell" while eating breakfast before I head to work really starts the day off great
.Numerous gifts on my girl and going out with her but she is def worth it.
Like others I spend my money are the latest gadgets like when the 50" LCD rear projections first came out 3 years ago I paid around $4,500 for it not including the surround sound system but def made me happy. What didn't make me happy is the fact you can pick up the same tvs for $1500-$2000. Only thing I'm not going to do is blu ray and hd since I don't feel like getting screwed when the format wars end plus I'm more of a game guy then movie guy.
Now I'm being more smart by banking more money and putting my money towards my 401k which I have neglected for the past 2.5 years with my job cause I'm a moron
. Later.Mike
