Now that I've actually posted in this thread I guess I should add my two cents.

I personally spend money on clothing (used to be my car budget - but the S more than satisfies that craving now), mostly suits and jeans. Other than that, I don't like spending money on things I'll never recover $$ from, use frequently, or have a lot of fun using.

i buy a lot of make-up, products, and perfume; all of which are inherently overpriced, even if you're buying from wal-mart. i like mac, dior, and estee lauder make-up. i have bottles & bottles of perfume, most of which i pay at least $60/bottle for. i love decleor lotion, which is $54/bottle. i only use bumble & bumble hair products. i tan at least once a week... which averages to about $15/session, then you have to buy those damn tanning accelerators that cost $60-$70/bottle. anytime you run out of anything, which is about once a week, you have to go out and re-stock. it's NEVER ENDING. but i feel like it's almost a necessity.

i'm pretty thrifty when it comes to clothes, i hardly buy anything that isn't on sale, especially if it's just casual stuff. but i do splurge on high heels and dresses and nice stuff that i wear for work.

i justify it by telling myself that i'm a girl, and girls have to look & smell good & have shiny hair & pretty skin if they want to get anywhere in life. it's an investment. hah...

i spend a lot of money on good food too. and now that i'm 21, buying drinks...

compared to what i'm reading in this thread though, my spending habits don't seem too out of hand... but then again, i'm a single female with no children and i don't own a home so i don't have to worry about things like sub-zero refrigerators and big screen TVs.

WTF is an 8000 dollar fridge? Is it like some double sub z or something?
custom, odd-sized, built-in kitchenaid.

we needed bigger than 48" for our cabinet opening...had to have it made.

I spend more than I should on scotch. I used to be an early adopter of technology.
