My mom is looking to get new tires on her 93 Accord EX. I wanted to set her up with a set of Bridgestone or Dunlops. Now im told that they want Cooper. Are these any good?
Thanks.

A set of Cooper all-season tires on a '90 Subaru Legacy worked extremely well as far as durability and traction. Would purchase Coopers again.

After you asked the question I had to go look. I had seen Cooper tire my whole life but knew little of them. It is a successful tire and rubber products company that is almost 100 years old. In

They're cheaper tires for those who can't -- or don't want to -- pay for top quality tires.

Nothing wrong with that but, in this case, you can expect to get what you pay for.

I'd find it hard to believe any enthusiast on this board would recommend these kind of tires to anyone else without first clearly stating that they're second tier.
