What was your first real job?
13 years old, pin setter in a bowling alley! They had 5 manual lanes so they could switch from 10-pin from 5-pin. Canadians play 5-pin bowling, and, after all, I am a Canuck! I was desperately saving up to buy my first motorcycle!
After 1.5 years of hard work for very little $, I bought (with my father's help) a 1972 Honda SL70! A great machine! And the start of my addiction to Hondas!

At the age of 10 I started doing a paper round. (My aunt owned a Newsagents Shop) at the age of 13 I started working Sundays in the shop to pay for my annual ski trip. I kept this up until the age of 16 when I started working 2 days a week after school plus Saturdays at the local supermarket. At the age of 18 I left and went to University which was the first time in about 18 years that I didn't have to do some form of paid work at least once a week.
I agree with VTEXTC, it is not until you start working to earn the money you need to do something that you realise the value of what you want .....
