I'd have to say NSX too.

1976 Honda Accord, the car that really started Honda as a serious car company in the U.S. Probably not the best Honda ever built, but the one that helped launch the franchise, including the concept of a fully equipped, reasonably priced automobile with few, if any, expensive options.

Well the obvious winners:

NSX
S2000
CRX - I'm so glad to see that it's popular after all this time - had a black '89 Si - can you say "practical go-cart" remember the ads for this little charmer..."Vroom, Vroom, Vroom, Vroom, Vroom. The New CRX Si" and then the commercial comparing it to the not yet photographed Stealth Bomber. Honda was the shit back then...they still are now, but in a more mature, less-scrappy way.

fun to drive
1: CRX circa 86-87, any non-HF (delivers grins at 25 mph)
2: CRX Si circa 90-91
3: S2000 (major points for toplessness & driftability)
4: NSX (fast & nimble but benign to a fault)

fun to drive AND practical
1: Civic Si hatch, circa 1992
2: ITR (thank god for LSD)
3: Civic wagon with RealTime AWD (actually lotsa fun)

note: hondas I've never driven are the original CVCC, S600/800, 4WS Prelude, 2002+ Civic & RSX, and all the bikes.

Well, the main reason for my post was to see how many people would say CRX. It seems many enthusiasts enjoyed it and i just wonder why honda ever stopped making them for North America. Obviously, it has a huge following. Sales perhaps, but i still see so many on the street, and the resale value for them are quite impressive, in toronto anyways.

NSX is a terrific car and my dream car to buy one day but practical? I'm not sure i would or could drive it in the winter.

S2000 is a great car, as i just bought one recently, but i feel it lacks a little soul, something the ITR and CRX and even the NSX defintely have. Don't get me wrong, i still love it. Just my opinion.

Have you broken it in and really driven it? I don't think so, or you would not be saying that.

Best Honda ever built? S500 cause it was the seed that started the S series.
