I remember that insurance rates were getting pretty high when they killed the CRX off...but then they introduced the del Sol

Then when that was shelved the Civic Si was marketed in to fill up the gap - great car but not the equal of the CRX IMHO

Hopefully Honda will realize that the CRX is an important part of the Honda gene pool and a re-birth is coming up soon

The crx lives on! If you follow all of the lines in honda cars(and various other documentation), the crx evolved into the del sol(3rd gen crx), which is highly shown to have evolved into the S2000. so just think, you're driving around in a topless crx

The NSX-R is the best Honda ever put together.

My god, I miss my '89 CRX. The 88-91 CRX was by far and away the car that put Honda deeply into the heart of enthusiasts. That car was amazing, fun, cheap, economical, and any owner could name the rust spots by heart (fuel filler door, sunroof, door molding, and rear wheel wells, not front).

The 1st gen were far more light and tossable, but the 88-91 was the gem. I only sleep at night knowing my '89 is now an ITA car (not mine , I gave my baby away and went karting instead).

Never driven an original CVCC? It was a wacky little car but I loved it for all its quirks. My size 9 shoe would barely fit between the gas and the brake. A friend of mine hit an armadillo on a curve and rolled the car into a little ball. The armadillo got up a few minutes later and waddled off into the woods.

Yes I'm serious. The guy was about 60 years old and drove like a little old lady. I didn't believe him when he first told the story but the local cops couldn't quit laughing about it and told everybody too.
