Pray to God that they aren't Fire Ants!!!!!
The EPA has banned the only really effective fire ant control.
'course nobody has tried Very Low Yeild Tactical Nukes .........yet
But then, that could turn out like a bad 50's sci-fi flick.... you know 25 foot long fire ants, etc.

You'll see dead ants. You'd need a microscope to see the little shards piercing thier bodies at the joints. Don't put it down if it's windy. And obviously don't breathe the stuff. A one inch barrier line around your foundation would do the trick.

Its weird, I never had any problems with ants in the house until this summer when they all of a sudden came seeking water. My bathroom faucet drips ever so slowly and man they loved it. So I got some of those little Raid bait trap things, the little hexagon shaped things with poison stuff in there they go eat and take back home with them.

It was like some super buffet to them. I'd go into my bathroom in the morning and see a huge line of ants going to and from the bait trays. Kinda freaky but within a week, not an ant to be seen

Ok, I got some Ortho Ant-B-Gone bait things, but the ants simply ignore them, same thing goes with the Raid bait packets, ants go around them - as if they know instinctively this stuff kills them!

If the ants are in your house, try the Combat bait traps. Worked for me after trying all the less expensive ones.....huge black ants they were. If they have a trail into the house from outside, wash the trail away with a bleach solution. Flood any concrete walkways they are using with bleach and scrub. They travel by scent trails. The bleach will remove the scent markers. Different tactics according to your problem. Invasion from outside, or infestation inside. The diatomaceous earth around the foundation....a two inch wide strip...will work. I'm not kidding with that. Also will be fatal to crickets/slugs/etc.
