Because it was a symbol of American Democracy and free trade, I can't help but think that NYC, with the assistance of many others, will rebuild the WTC towers 1 & 2. Imagine, a huge effort supported by millions around the country and maybe the globe. All aspects done at cost or gratis. What a tribute to the men and women who perished yesterday and to the rescue personal that were taken. It will take some time but it would be awesome! Do you think they'll do it?

I don't see how they can rebuild it and create that target for terrorism again. They should put a permanent memorial to this day and remind people that this will not be tolerated in this society.

It saddens me to know that the skyline that I grew up under will never be the same again.

Every time I drove back to NY (also my home town) I looked for those towers. Everytime I was on a trip to Florida and back I looked for them from the plane. I never really felt ike I was really home until I saw those damn towers. WE NEED EM BACK SO I CAN GO HOME AGAIN!!!!!

This thread centered around this subject.

I personally would like to have a set of towers rebuilt to commemorate the massive loss of life that took place yesterday. The names of the individuals who perished should be inscribed on those buildings so that it would also serve as a memorial.

It would be a shame to let the terrorists have their way by not replacing the WTC institution.

I believe that in it's place they will build the world's tallest towers.

That is not only the American way, that is the New York way.

The most beautiful and tallest buildings one has ever seen.

A massive up-yours to those cowards who were responsible and a symbol of American resolve.

I say rebuild the WTC somewhere near the center of the nation so that it can be better guarded for the next possible attack. In the current area, build a park which houses a memorial for everyone who visits to touch the memorial gravestone and such....think Lincoln Memorial, Veteran's Memorial, etc.

I do not know the area but a large memorial should obviously be built nearby.

i think WTC's location will be a memorial park.
Turn the boonies into a new business epi-center for the US. Don't worry, where there is money, they will come. <---Remember, CA was the boonies at one time too.
