I agree that they should be rebuilt. Some facts: Designed by the late Minoru Yamasaki, a world renowned architect, the towers were the centerpiece of a urban renewal project intended to revitalize lower Manhattan. Construction began in 1966, with the first tower opened four years later. The twin 110-story towers cost their owners, the port Authority of New York and New Jersey, $700 million. Last July, they were leased to a New York real estate firm for $3.25 billion, one of the largest such deals in history.

Rebuild them as a memorial. However, slightly change them so that are angled in such a way that when viewed from the vantage point of the purpotrators of this atrocity they look like the silhouette of a giant hand flipping them off. I think that would do nicely AND reflect the resolve and attitude of NY & the US.

A memorial park .... with some kinda new structure for people to remember the towers from far away, NYC has one of the best skyline view, and the towers are a part of it. They cant be relaced, but they must be remembered.

You people obviously don't know New York.

They will be rebuild. Bigger and more beautiful than ever.

Many people will work there. New Yorkers are not cowards in life.

I said it on the other thread, I say rebuild it, but make it bigger and better. We want to show the terrorists that we are resilient and will bounce back from anything.
