Ok I agree applauding in movie theaters always seemed weird to me. But, what annoys me even more are the people that clap after the plane lands. I mean did they expect it to not land safely?

I don't think I have ever heard anyone appluad at a movie theatre.

I did hear one guy yelling "halluya" and "amen" during "ghost".... turns out it was a guy i worked with who was a "born again" christian... not sure why he was yelling during a movie though......

The applauds happen after the movie, so why would you care if they applaud or not?? Nothing wrong with clapping in recognition of a good movie.

why do people cry watching movies? laugh? it's all a human emotion. Are movies suppose to do nothing for us? Why go?

If you go to a movie, and someone laughs at a funny scene, cries during a sad scene, or yells at an awesome scene, why get mad at them? If you feel so compelled in giving them strange looks, go to Blockbuster, and watch it in the comforts of your own home.
