Why do you drive?
this may sound strange for an s2k owner, but I like the feeling of gliding down the highway, especially with the top down
yea the s2k rides kinda rough over expansion joints and what not, but it just feels phenomenal accelerating over smooth roads.
3 of my previous cars were tanks in comparison, so that's where I'm coming from

You look way cooler driving than walking. LOL Can't "holla" at any females when you are walking down the street.
Serious answer now:
Driving releases stress for me. The sound of the motor/exhaust and also the radio helps me tune everything out. Long drives are nice, esp. with the top down & a cup of Starbucks Iced White Chocolate Mocha.

I drive because its fun. If public transportation was as efficient as in other parts of the world, I would only drive on weekends/meets/track. Otherwise, I don't find much joy in sitting in traffic trying to get from point a to b, not to mention dealing with cell phone soccor moms in SUVs.
My answer is similar to what others have already posted. Growing up with a gearhead father, I always had a car to drive. He gave me the gift of seeing how fun and therapeutic driving can be. Even when we didn't have a lot of money and I was driving my POS Horizon, if I was upset or needed some time alone, there was always gas money for me to take drive and clear my head. Now that I have the S, it's a lot more fun of course!
For me driving (and in particular the S) is a symbol of freedom and independence.
Also, since we lived in a rural area (and now I'm back there) a vehicle was/is a necessity.

I moved from NY to LA about 6 years ago. I stayed in LA for three years and then moved back to NY.
When I was in LA, I had to drive everywhere. I absolutely loved it! It was great! Everytime I got behind the wheel, it was zen like for me. All the daily stress and problems gets blocked out and it's just me, the car and driving.
Three years later I moved back to NY because of family. I drove cross country from LA to NY. It took me ten days, I was sight seeing. I loved every minute of it.
Being back in New York for the past three years, I can stay I miss driving a lot. I still have the car and every weekend I drive out to the mall in Long Island. I do love walking also but I only walk in the city. So if you are asking me if I prefer to walk or drive? I say drive but if I have to walk then it would only be in the NYC. And I can't wait to move back to LA next year!
