why doesn't mcDonalds use recyclable styrofoam?
I just got some yummy pancakes at McDonalds and the container is not recyleable.... I am pretty sure I have gotten other things that were not also...
They sell a fair amount of grease...you would think they would be a little more environmental conscience?
Also.....why does it take so damned long at a McDonalds now? It took me the almost 10 minutes to walk in and get pancakes and walk out with them.
I gots' places to be!

Remember 15-20 years ago, all they used was styrofoam. That drove the environmentalists nuts, so they switched to mostly paper and cardboard.
The timeliness of your meal also depends on the manager's ability to read the daily traffic, and know when they need to produce more from the grills. That doesn't always happen

well today there was only 1 order taker on the drive through and 1 for the walkup people...... so I was 5 deep when i got there.... and there were at least that many behind me when I left. I think their staffing efforts were a little off

i think the reason is that consumers are now expecting their food to be prepared after they order, instead of it sitting there ready and waiting.

Heck, I remember when Happy Meals came in nice little cardboard boxes that resembled a house. Now it's just a simple white bag...

if you think the wait at mcD's is bad, you should try the drivethru at jack in the box late at night. it literally takes them 15-20 mins just to make a damn jumbo jack and fries.
