So are people from the Philippines and Singapore considered Asian, or are they Pacific Islanders?
[QUOTE=dat boi,Apr 4 2009, 11:43 AM] I understand that. But your culture does depend on what region you live in. Europe is a region different from Asia, just like South East Asia is different from Middle East, or East Asia. But technically it is all Asia. So geographically Indians and Pakistanis are Asian. And since there is Asia and Europe is just 1 land mass ( there are no major separations between Europe and Asia), geographically, Europe is also Asia no matter what your elementary school teacher told you
And don't quote dictionary.com, not a very reliable site to source information from.
Here's the definition from Merriam Webster:

dat_boi,
I too looked up Continent in Meriam-Webster's dictionary. It seems as though you are the unreliable source of information because the 4th entry for the definition states, and I quote:
a. one of the six or seven great divisions of land on the globe.
b. capitalized : the continent of Europe
