It isn't.

Greenland's about 1/8 the size of South America.

the phenomena your witnessing is the distortion of putting a circular feature(globe/planet) onto a plane. I believe that map projection is the mercator. There are different projections that are made for different uses or cultural likings but each has some kind of distortion whether it be size, shape or direction.

I suspect that they are just your run of the mill Arab.

Jews are an ethnic group. Not a race.

^^^^^ see I think that is a wrong grouping too.

Native americans are an ethnic group, I am as white anglo as they come and if I choose to follow Judaism, I am a Jew, right?

This whole Asian thing is kind of silly. Anyone from the continent of Asia could be technically called an Asian but everyone can plainly see that Asia incompasses much more than china, japan, korea, vietnam.

Even within the typical "asian" people there are very distict differences in the way they look depending on where they originate.

Asking what race you are is kind of silly with all the cultural mixing going on in the world today. Labeling by Continent is dumb as well.

A better question would be what nationality are you and have a space to write in your country of origin.

So are people from the Philippines and Singapore considered Asian, or are they Pacific Islanders?
