^^ I think it is just something that we have passed down through generations of sports. Violent behavior has always been portrayed in sports, blood sport which is the term used to express a sport that deals with violence towards animals used to be huge (bear baiting, cock fighting, bull fighting). In ancient times we had gladiators that were killed for recreation and ancient roman boxing was deadly. The Victorian era is when these things began to be frowned upon, so as for your question since our society does not condemn these behaviors we out lash in the way we do to present day sports.

Sorry that was long but this is just my personal opinion, people just are not getting laid enough!!!

Whats with p0rn being so popular?
hahaha. seriously, if someone is into sports, so what? why is everyone on this board into cars, into their s2k? what's the point of spending so much money in a depreciating asset that goes from point a to point b? a non-car guy would probably think that unless you race your car at the track less than 50% of its life, it would be useless to own a sports car. sports is just another hobby/pastime that people choose to follow. and sure some are over the top and take it way too seriously, but sometimes being passionate about something can be a great thing, especially in this day in age when people (younger generations in particular) lack passion in anything.

Gretzky is Canadian. We provide the US with star musicians, actors/actresses, athletes, and massive amounts of oil.

When can we return these two? Do you have to have a receipt and VAT slip?

Your initial posts contained questions that were interesting and humorous, but as time goes by, they keep getting more and more ridicidulous. What happened? A lot of your recent threads are just differences of hobbies and interests, which then contains huge loads of generalizations and some racism. = T Seems a bit too cynical to life... Scot had some awesomely hilarious posts.
Back to topic though. . . if dyhappy would just study some damn philosophy, he could spare us (and himself) a helluva lot of time!!!!

I've never seen anyone so metacognitively deficient that he can mull over a topic for a few days and still come to no conclusion. What's worse, he has to share his haplessness with the rest of us.

If you need to ask loaded questions in order to support a specious agenda, you're probably overqualified to be a college professor. . . or an author.

Get to it!

I don't know about that. What if he were to be very successful and made a lot of money. Would dyhappy then have to hate himself? Enquiring minds want to know.

To answer your question in the topic, people are so into sports is because of betting.

Believe it or not, all sports are all setups.

Where are the billions of dollars coming from for paying salaries to players?

I think you quoted the wrong half of my rant.

Never been a fan of either. Canada is like Costco now, you may have a record of where they came from, but after 30 days, all yours.
