Off-topic Talk Where overpaid, underworked S2000 owners waste the worst part of their days before the drive home. This forum is for general chit chat and discussions not covered by the other off-topic forums.

Will the declining price of the S2k ruin s2ki.com?

Every internet forum goes through what the old timers see as a degradation in quality over time. You just have to pick and choose what you read. Stay completely out of street encounters if you don't like made up stories, etc. My area's forum is filled with youngsters and I find most of them fairly amusing even when being immature and they do listen when you tell them stuff.

Just remember it's the internet and anyone can say they own the car even if they are 12 years old. There is nothing to stop anyone from jumping on the board and posting nonsense and it has always been that way but the board has way more users than in the past so there is an increase in that nonsense.

PS
Some of the people that have been on this board for 4 years plus have the riceiest cars and have been posting their make beleive stories and general bullshit for all of that time. As many people have said it is $30K car so it's never been out of reach of the ricer/young crowd.

Nice quote, you said what I was thinking. but I just didn't feel like starting a fest.

Some of the "4+ year olds" act like a 4 year old in some cases. Most of them don't but there are always that few that screw it up, just like the "RICER KIDS" who can afford the car as well, the few alway screw it up for the rest.

I enjoy the posts. Sometime they are a good laugh, even better than the Pooping Thread that was in Off Topic. (ok not that funny but close)

Good luck finding the joys in your life that will not be spoiled by others having the same thing. You swear like you had the car special made. lol
You're a goon who lacks basic reading comprehension. Go back and read my post C A R E F U L L Y. Then see if the light bulb goes off in your head.

No thanks.

I'm tired of people who worry too much about their post-counts and putting pictures and mod lists (its amazing what's considered a "mod" these days) in their signatures.

I'm tired of people arguing what's "rice" and what's not.

However, some threads are entertaining, until they get locked.

My god, S2000 Talk is terrible today. 2 threads about why its such a great idea for 17 year olds to spend every cent they have on sports cars (and people agreeing), another poster (for the millionth time) complaining about insurance being a "scam" because its expensive to insure an S2000, and countless other "repost" questions, oh, and more f'ing "Domestics sux," and, "Importz blowz," in Car Talk. Dammit.

Sorry, just venting because I'm bored on a Friday night.

People like Steve may be able to help retain the car's value.

But people like Mr-heres-my-show-racing-every-night-to-go-ricer will bring the prices down and insurance up.

Happens every time like the GTRs in Australia, kids are trying to get the oldest and cheapest model possible so that they can be part of an "elite" club (whatever that is).

Some even tries to dress up their GTS to look like GTRs which is even sadder.

No one can buy class.
No one can buy taste.
Not everyone can take a chance on a new make and model of car.
Anyone can follow.

That's my $.02, as generalized as it is.

This site is like an open bottle of milk left outside in 100-deg sunny weather. It'll eventually spoil and smell funny.

This is a public forum and your going to get the kids in here...face it you gotta
shift the the BS. But i do agree that there should be forums open to members
only. This site is invaluable for information. I gladly pay the 20 bucks a year
for a membership..... I would pay more for a few more perks if it was offered.
The other memberships offered just dont apply to me.....i would never use some
of the things that are offered.
