Yeah, either click the double arrow or in the view menu, turn on the status bar.

Been running XP since before it was released to the public (yes, before it was publically released!), and it has been stable as can be. Better than Win2k, NT, ME or Win 98.

Only problem lately I had didn't have anything to do with XP, but with Zonealarm Pro. Kept locking up my PC. Shame on it! Time for Sygate Personal Firewall.

I don't like the left Sidebar view because I like the folder view instead.

I turned on MSVDM today. Runs kinda slow. I also removed that improved Alt-Tab feature it lagged. Installed McAfee, but it isn't made for XP, I have to upgrade to 6.01. Not sure why I can't upgrade automatically.

One thing that I do like is that if you rip CDs to the hard drive then it will download the cover art as well. It will then make that the folder icon in explorer.

Any games in particular? More or less, gaming is almost identical on Windows XP and Windows 2000. You may have heard a while ago (when windows 2000 came out) to stay with gaming on the Win98 line because windows 2000 was having problems with gaming, but most of those quirks have already been resolved. All the games I've played work just as well as windows 2000 pro.

I have heard just the opposite, although I admit that I play few games.
