First of all my deep feelings to everyone affected. Second, don't spread any more rumors. Half the stuff people are reporting are true and half the other is just rumors that people spread. Focus on the media, unfortunately, that is our most reliable source right now. FAA has not been confirmed being bombed and neither have a lot of other places.

The bastards that did that have to pay!

Man, you try and give people and organizations the benefit of the doubt. You say that they must have legitimate grievances and concerns to act so radically. And then they celebrate in the streets the mass death and loss of the innocent!

When was the last time you saw anyone in the USA celebrating in the streets the death of a Palestinian child.....?

I don't think the rest of the world fully appreciates the fire that they are playing with...

I'm quite the pacifist, and all I can think of is that there is a wave of influence over there. They also have a different way of life. Hermann Hesse once said, "borders are only important in times of war." They have borders around their countries, which mean a lot to them.

People are easily influenced by some greater power that they cannot control. I would fear that we would flatten their country and their people because of this. This is why a nuclear response would be very negative on the outlook of humanity - what we have left of it. I believe that even in mass celebration, there are still others, not so public that disagree.

Our first action should be to take care of the victims and their families. Provide whatever medical, financial, etc. aid they require.

Make sure that we pray for those who didn't make it and pray for a speedy recovery for those who did.

Then we need to inform or senators and congressmen that we will not allow criminals to perform these cowardly acts without facing justice.

We should then support the actions of our government on two fronts, political and military. It is time for the gloves to come off and kick some butt. Politically give the governments of the countries that harbor terrorists the opportunity to turn them in. If they refuse, we assume they are supportive, view the NYC and DC attacks as acts of war, and retaliate with extreme prejudice against those responsible and the countries that protect them.

There's not a country in this world that would openly object to bringing these hypocrites to justice.

I guess I just don't understand terrorism.

**We aren't happy with a country's foreign policies so let's go kill thousands of innocent people - that will solve all our problems.**

Does this make sense?

I also doubt there will be a war unless we can prove that a country was behind this. Once we do find out who (I assume it is a well put-together group) is behind it, I can imagine that there will be an all out effort to find these people and bring them to justice (which in my mind would be a very slow painful death).

Nuclear force isn't even an issue probably. If that was in our game plan, Iraq would have been hit for sure 10 years ago.

As stated above - we will all know someone that is affected by this. This is too big and too widespread. My thoughts are with all those effected by this horrible act.

I have been watching this since my friend called and woke me up. I cannot help but think that whoever has perpetrated this terrorists act has made a serious miscalculation. We call them "terrorists" in the sense that they strike terror and fear in the hearts of thier targets. What they seem to have misjudged is the resolve of the American people and the determination of this country. We are not terrified, we are now, pissed.
America has a way coming together in times of crisis and I have no doubt that we will, again, collect the needed information to bring justice to the instigators of this attack. I love this country and all she stands for. This attack will only pull this country closer together and renew our resolve to see democracy prevail around the world where it is welcomed. "The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself."
Pray for the victims, their families, the President and for the attackers...they all need it.

Mark
