Wow, that's terrible. CNN are just showing a live report of several large explosions and tracer fire happening in Kabul, Afghanistan.

Does this mean the U.S. is retaliating already? When is this madness going to end?

Tedow, check out http://www.skyscraper.org/tallest/t_wtc.htm
, you'll see that the WTC was a "hollow tube" construction, with the outside walls being the load-bearing members of the building. As far as I know it was the first to use such a technique, all skyscrapers before using the technique you mention.

I seriously doubt that we(U.S. govt.) are retaliating at this point. It's so early in the tragedy to make heads or tails of what's going on...

That is, unless they have incontrovertible proof.

I'm just guessing. I don't have TV here at work.

I didn't say that we were blowing the shit out of them, just stating that they're getting the shit blown out of them

No confirmation US responsible for Afghanistan attacks.

There is a civil war over there, don't forget.

There was a funny line where one of the guys on tv said that he wouldn't be surprised if it was the US, just to let everyone know that no matter what is going on at home we are still able to reach out and touch our enemies.

I would like to meet the person that came up with the line "reach out and touch someone" Talk about branding.
