I'm pretty sure that's what they were saying on the news. Apparently after the two plane crashes, there were other "explosions" before the buildings came down. I'm still waiting for news from my NY friends. I hate being this upset.

Btw, as an engineer, we studied WTC structure in school. It was designed to withstand the impact of a 747 (reportedly). Now, we all know this is practically impossible, but ...

Another thing that bothers me is the fact that the buildings fell straight down. That's awfully difficult to do from above.

Either way, I still feel sick.

Sure, they are(were) very large buildings but a commercial airliner ramming it with all its weight and momentum will cause a very considerable damage.
