Stupid but I could care less. She's under aged and making sexual pictures, sounds illegal to me....

I honestly believe the arrest is appropriate. If having child pornography is illegal, why shouldn't it be illegal for children to make their own pornography? She deserves getting arrested imho.

I'm here for the gangbang, but after hearing her age, i'll be back in a year or 3 depending on the state she lives in.
if she is in hawaii you are good to go now.

seriously I think the charges are being delivered more to send a clear message than to taint her record. the charges are most likely going to be dismissed or expounged.

what is happening here is that you cannot be the enabler of child pornography no matter what age you are. Kids are getting in touble for having these types of photos on thier phones and such even though they are underage and the subject in the photos are underage.

Its common sense and being done for the common good. You honestly think that a 13, 14, 15, 16 etc year-old does not know that taking those pictures and displaying them is wrong? PLEASE?!?!?!?!?!

If 9 year olds are calling CPS on their parents for abuse knowing that is wrong you cannot sit there and tell me that a 15 year-old is sitting there taking nuddy pictures of her fingerbanging herself then sending it out to her friends thinking that it is an innocent and wholesome to be doing. That is absurd.

She did a no-no and she knows it. Now she knows that there are consequences.

The creation, distribution and possesion of pornographic material involving a minor is illegal no matter who creates it. her being tried as adult does not change the perspective that the subject matter is no longer a minor. it means the courts feel that the person commiting the act has the mental capacity to know what they were doing was wrong and acted with intent.

I think the Waxing Moon in Capricorn has made everyone a little dumber today.

again I think the charges are not going to be pressed and the situation is going to be a wrist slap. But the validity of the charges are sound and if they wanted to pursue the situation they would win.

The lawsuit would fail miserably. Minors are charged as adults all the time.

That is one sex offender I wouldn't mind living next to.

(pending visual approval, of course)

I demand to see the pictures in question.

Regarding this topic, yes, it's considered child pornography.

Oh yeah, the OP's analogical examples are way off.

Next time you take vitamins, aspirin, etc etc, then I'm charging you with medicating a person without a license to prescribe medicine. I'm sure that's illegal in some way.

People overdose on prescription drugs all the time and don't get charged with anything.

This is just ridiculous because the reasoning behind the child pron laws is that people above the age of majority should not be taking advantage of minors who potentially don't have the good enough sense or ability to know it's wrong.

She can't be half adult, half child. If she is being charged as an adult, then she did not take a picture of a child. If she is tried as a child, then she didn't know it was wrong to do something like that.

Maybe it's statutory rape if she's touching herself in any of the photos too.

Lets start charging little kids who play doctor with sexual assault too! "Show me yours, I'll show you mine" should have some charges associated with it too...
No its really not illegal as long as its over the counter medicine (like the examples you mentioned)...

People OD all the time, and many times do get charged.

Child $$$$$$ laws are very simple, NO child pornography, should there be an exception to kids that make the $$$$$$ vs adults? Why? Both are equally in the wrong and thus should be charged equally.

Statutory rape is one person (over age of consent) raping another person under the age of consent...it requires TWO people...

Most kids who play doctor are 5 years old and don't even know what they are doing. Your going to tell me at the age of 13/14/15/16/17 you don't what right or wrong is yet? Please

Once again, completely pointless arguments...
